Riders Guide - Big Bear gets 75 inches per year, but it works out great as it is a very high capacity resort with 12 lifts, including two high speed quads, 34 trails, and the longest run is over 10,500 feet. The runs are rated 30% for Beginner, 40% Intermediate and 30% Advanced. Snow Valley gets 160 inches per year which is the most in the greater Los Angeles area, and has 12 lifts which can take over 18,000 people per hour to the top, 35 trails, and a longest run of 6,600 feet. The runs are rated 30% for Beginner, 35% Intermediate and 35% Advanced. Snow Summit gets 75 inches per year with 14 lifts, including two high speed quads, 31 trails, and the longest run is over 6,600 feet. The runs are rated 10% for Beginner, 25% Intermediate and 40% Advanced and an eye-opening 25% for Experts only, the only Experts rating in the greater Los Angeles area. Head north, way north to Bear Valley Mountain if you want to play in an amazing 450 inches per year. This resort features 10 lifts including a high speed quad, 67 trails, and a longest run of almost 16,000 feet. The runs are rated 25% for Beginner, 40% Intermediate, 30% Advanced and best of all, 5% Expert.

Parks and Pipes - Big Bear's "The Park" has over 100 jumps with step-ups, step-downs, tables, hips, vaders, spines and rollers and nearly 60 jibs including rails and boxes! But you'll be going directly to California's only Superpipe with an staggering length of 580 feet, a width of 67 feet and 17 foot walls! In the base area, The Scene features a revolving setup of jibs and a snowskate park. Schighridj Terrain Park is Snow Valley's best terrain park with 3,240 feet of vertical downhill and lots of hits, spines, banks and tabletops. Snow Summit's Westridge Park, Ego Trip, Skyline Creek Fun Zone and the Zzyzx Park and Half-pipe contain a variety of beginner and intermediate jumps and jibs.

Out of Bounds - The Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear area is one of the most striking places in California, with vistas looking out over baking desert. There is virtually nothing that you can't do within 60 miles, from ocean swimming to dune buggies to snowmobiling. It's a completely different story at Bear Mountain where you're in the heart of northern California's High Sierras with alpine activities for hundreds of miles around.

Hangout & Hookup - The Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear area is the place where L.A. goes to party in the snow, so you can find great rock bands and a place to bump into people at Chad's Place, Casa Coyote Grill and Cantina has a lakeside dock which is a great place for under and over 21's to mix and mingle. If you want really sizzling hot action, you're real close to the Inland Empire's famous all-night clubs for really world-class clubbing and partying. Check out The Brandin' Iron, Clover Club or Rockin' Robin's in San Berdoo, Angel's Roadhouse in Yucaipa, or head out to Riverside for The Bikini Beach Club, Club Sevilla, Club 360 or Godfather's Night Club. Way up in Bear Valley, you can try Lake Alpine Bar or Grizzly Bar for some fun local action.
