Monarch Ski and Snowboard Area is located at the top of Monarch Pass near the town of Salida in south central Colorado. This intimate ski area is known for its short lift lines, inexpensive restaurants, friendly staff on and off the mountain and no traffic hassles to and from the ski area.
With over 670 acres of terrain, Monarch Ski and Snowboard Area receives and annual snowfall of 350”. There are 55 trails for skiers and snowboarders consisting of 21% beginner, 37% intermediate, and 42% advanced. Services at the ski area include a lodge to relax and eat, as well as, a ski and snowboard school offering group and private lessons, and a children’s center.
